Brand Park

Hey there folks!

We'd like to share with you one of our favorite parks, Brand Park, located in Glendale, CA.  It's very beautiful!  We love the hiking trails that this park has to offer, they're some of the best in El A.  One of the main trails is pretty steep which we love.  When you reach the top of that trail, it has a few benches to rest on and enjoy the exquisit view of the San Fernando Valley and you can also see the downtown El A sky line.  This trail starts at The Miss American Green Cross statue.

The park also houses The Whispering Pine Teahouse & Friendship Garden.  We haven't seen the Teahouse because it is only open by reservation every 3rd Sunday for events related to Asian Arts & Culture.  The Friendship Garden is beautiful and peaceful and is open to the public Monday - Thursday 10:00 am - 3:00 pm.

There's also the Brand Library which includes works on history, theory, criticism and techniques, specialized encyclopedias, dictionaries, indexes and other guides to art and music literature.  It also holds events for art galleries, dance preformances, lectures in music, art, and film, etc.

It has The Doctors House Museum & Gazebo.
Guided Tours
Every Sunday 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm
(Closed during the month of July, on holidays, and during inclement weather.)
Admission: $1.00

The park also offers a basketball court, softball field, picnic areas, and children's playground.  There is a lot to see and enjoy at this park.  We hope that you guys find the time to go and check it out. Here's a link with additional information:
